How much are tickets?

$20 per adult per day. Kids under 16 are free. Tickets may be bought in advance through Ticketmaster or at the gate, but please note it is CASH ONLY at the gates.

Are there 2 day tickets?

No. Only single day tickets are available.

How do I buy tickets?

Tickets can be purchased online through Ticketmaster or you can pay cash at the gate.

Can I pay by credit card at the gate?

No, sorry. You’ll have to use your cash at the gate but there is an ATM on site.

Are there student/pensioner discounts?

No. We aim to keep our festival tickets prices as low as possible for everyone. Purchasing more than three tickets in advance through Ticketmaster will make it cheaper. We also have a volunteering program where people can volunteer for two hours per day at the festival in exchange for a festival day pass.  Register to volunteer

What do I get for my $20?

You’ll be offered a Show Bag on entry (limited to the first 2 500 bags per day), which will contain offers and promotions. We’ve got 88 sessions across 7 main venues and 4 other locations, including workshops, kids activities and entertainment. Plus there are over 100 exhibitors, many with tastings and samples on offer.

Can I give my ticket away?

Yes. You can buy tickets as gifts!

Can I get a refund?

No. We have a strict No Refund Policy on all tickets.

Do I have to pay for my kids to get in?

No! Kids under 16 years of age are free, but must be accompanied at all times.

Where is the Sunshine Coast Real Food Festival held?

It’s at the Maleny Showgrounds – find your way by linking to a Google map here.

What are the gate opening times?

12th & 13th of September: open 9am – close 4pm.

Can I bring my campervan, motor home, caravan, tent or camper trailer to the festival?

No. There is no camping at the Showgrounds while the Festival is taking place.

How do I book for one (or more) of the workshops?

Go to our Workshops section on the website.

Is smoking allowed at the Festival?

No. You will have to leave the Festival site.

Can I bring my dog?

No. There will be a lot of people sitting and eating, and with lots of little kids running around, we’ve made it a dog-free zone.

Do you accept Companion Cards?

Yes – please present your card at the Gate for free entry.

Can I park at the Festival?

Yes – we have plenty of parking at the Festival but be prepared to walk up to 150 metres to one of the Gates. Maleny Rotary is controlling the parking and ask for a gold coin donation, which is passed on to our chosen charity, Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation.  See below for BUS parking.

I’m on a special diet – will you have food I can eat?

Our exhibitors will offer foods for a variety of dietary requirements, including gluten-free, vegan, raw and organic, as well as a range of styles including French, Thai, Vietnamese, Asian-fusion and modern Australian.

What if I need first aid assistance?

We have St John Ambulance on site and there is an ambulance station and hospital less than one kilometre from the Festival site.

Is the Festival wheelchair and pram accessible?

Some of the Festival exhibitors and venues are on grassy ovals or arenas, which can be difficult for wheelchairs and prams when it’s wet. The rest of the site is on bitumen or gravel. Most of the site is on level ground with a few gentle slopes.

I have a disability – can I bring my vehicle on site?

No, sorry. It is a safety requirement that no vehicles can come onto the site between 8am and 4pm.

What if it rains?

We’ve got plenty of undercover area in the event of rain. We have ordered a sunny, fine, blue sky weekend for the festival.

Are there baby-changing facilities?

There are limited facilities for baby-changing. The best option is the upstairs women’s toilet in the Pavilion.

Is there enough seating?

We’ve got over 300 haybales, tables and chairs under the Big Red Tent, as well as tables and chairs upstairs in the Pavilion.

What entertainment is on offer this year?

We’ve got four bands booked for both mornings and afternoons, as well as some roving performers to keep you entertained.

Can I bring a bus group of friends to the Festival?

Yes – purchase your tickets online through Ticketmaster for a group discount or pay full price at the gate (note: gates are cash only). Parking for buses is limited but passengers can get dropped off right next to Gate 1.

Can I get cash at the Festival?

There is an ATM on site on the Lane, just down the hill from Gate 1.

Can I catch a train from Brisbane?

If you’re thinking about taking the train from Brisbane to the Real Food Festival, we’ve found a few options.  For your information, the closest station is Landsborough.  Glasshouse Country Coaches operates the connecting bus service.
